While it takes time to see results from boosted collagen production, some people see improvements (tighter and firmer skin, smaller pores, fewer wrinkles) within two weeks of their first treatment. Results from a series of treatments can last up to a year, and you’ll need one to three maintenance treatments per year. It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over a six-week period. Individuals with mild laxity may be treated in fewer sessions with more weeks between each treatment.

At the start of the procedure we will apply a conductive gel to the treatment area, to allow the wand to glide more easily over the skin. We will move the wand in a circular motion to deliver heat throughout the area. Typically, the treatment feels relaxing, similar to a hot-stone massage. The treatment usually takes 30 minutes, but may vary based on the areas to be treated.

While the wand automatically adjusts the temperature so it never gets too hot, we can lower the heat settings for people with more sensitive skin or on delicate areas, like under the eye.

When the procedure is done we will remove the gel with a cool towel and apply moisturizer and sunscreen.

Forma has no downtime, but your face will look flushed, like you’ve just had an intense workout. This can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours, depending on your skin sensitivity. Some patients may also have mild swelling and tingling.

Forma is suitable for all skin types and is appropriate for individuals seeking a non-invasive and a natural looking approach to improvements in skin tone and texture irregularities. Patients have reported that their skin feels smoother and more defined and a reduction in wrinkles.
