Why is prevention more important than ever?

Dear patients,

We are pleased to present

Doc Albert MD - Health Talk,

a new series of educational podcasts hosted by Physimed doctors.

We created this series to take the time to explain important health topics in a clear, nuanced and accessible way - beyond the limits of a traditional consultation.

Every other Monday, we'll be covering topics such as :

  • Prevention
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Chronic diseases
  • Sleep
  • Weight management, etc.

Episode 1: Why prevention is more important than ever

In this episode, we discuss

  • Why many illnesses begin without symptoms
  • Why feeling good doesn't always mean being healthy

How a preventive approach can really influence your health trajectory

If you think this discussion could be useful to someone close to you, please share it.

If this initiative helps you to better understand your health, then we've achieved our goal.

  1. A much-appreciated debate.

As for the subject under discussion, "prevention", the question is: are doctors really willing and available to welcome people, as some don't even have family doctors yet?
On the other hand, an assymptomatic person might think that going to see a doctor would be a waste of time, whereas today "time is money"!

Congratulations to Dr Albert and his colleagues on your initiative.
    Bonne continuation.

  2. I followed the first podcast with interest and congratulations to the team.
The comment I'd just like to share is this: it's up to you to define an essential or indispensable screening protocol for patients, as specialists in the field, that will promote effective prevention. I agree with you when you say 'prevention is better than cure'.

  3. Bravo for prevention, which isn't sufficiently present in our healthcare system. But what about nutritionists, who I don't think are present enough with doctors? They are the foundation of good health, I believe.

  4. Thank you Dr Benhaim for this excellent initiative. I follow you with interest on your various platforms!

It would also be appropriate to address the issue of chronic illnesses, in particular diabetes, which concerns me personally.
