Are weight-loss drugs well tolerated? Here's what we see.

Understanding side effects

weight loss medication

Dear patients and friends,

Today, many people use drugs such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound as part of a medical weight loss program.

One of the most frequent questions I receive concerns side effects.

In some patients, mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, such as nausea, bloating, heartburn, cramps or changes in bowel habits.

These effects vary from person to person, and many patients tolerate these treatments very well.

To minimize discomfort, we always adopt a progressive approach, starting with a low dose and adjusting treatment according to each patient's tolerance and response.

This personalized approach means safer, more efficient use.

In this video, I explain what we see most often in practice, and how we support our patients to use these drugs in an informed and supervised way.
